Pigs is Canada's most authentic Pink Floyd Tribute.

Formed in 2008 in Victoria, British Columbia, Pigs have been amazing audiences ever since with their dynamic re-creation of one of the world's favourite rock groups.

Pigs' claim to fame is their authenticity, which means looking, sounding and feeling like the real Pink Floyd in their hey-day: the '70s. Audiences can expect long, pyschedelic jams to such songs as 'Shine on You Crazy Diamond' and 'Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun' as well as impassioned performances of emotional material like 'Comfortably Numb' and 'Us and Them'.

Audiences lose themselves in the band's lights and visuals, which give the music an otherworldly feel. Pigs has seven members and include a backup singer and saxophone in most performances.

With the passing of Richard Wright in 2008, fans of Pink Floyd lost hope of ever again seeing their favourite band re-united. Pigs offers the next best thing: an authentic look back into the breathtaking past of one of the world's most timeless bands.

Our Band:

KC

KC Hingley is the bassist for Pigs - but much like the real Roger Waters, KC does a lot more than the basslines.  He also sings, plays acoustic guitar, and takes the leading role in organization and planning for every show and rehearsal.  More easygoing than the real Roger, KC doesn't rule with an iron fist - but he is certainly a perfectionist and sets a high bar for the rest of the group.

Josh

Josh Szczepanowski is the band's lead-guitarist and vocalist.  As the David Gilmour for Pigs, Josh is the musical director and has the final say where setlists, gear choices and stage directions are concerned.  Though stubborn as the real Gilmour, Josh isn't quite as grumpy as he appears on stage - he takes great joy in selecting just the right distortion pedal for the job.

Adam

Adam Basterfield is the man that made Pigs possible.  His organ work, delicate piano playing, and encyclopedic knowledge of all things Floyd make him the perfect Richard Wright - and his soft-spoken demeanor doesn't hurt.  Adam understands how to wring every drop from each of the many keyboards he uses on stage and knows how to play even the most obscure Floyd tunes.

Mike

Mike Quirke comes from a long tradition of jam bands and is a constant crowd-pleaser with roto-tom solos and dead accurate playing.  He is the perfect mix of relaxed confidence and positively German precision.  Mike sounds more like Nick Mason than the real thing these days; the only things missing are the Ferrari and the moustache!

Sharon Driver plays saxophone for Pigs, much the same way Dick Perry did for many years.  Though she doesn't live in the same city as the rest of the Pigs, Sharon hasn't missed a show yet and always blows the crowd away.
